Happy Victoria Day long weekend, or as Bob and Doug McKenzie would say, happy 2-4 weekend. Let summer begin!

Welcome to the traditional time for tourist sites to flip the welcome sign to open, gardeners to plant, and cabin-owners to air out the summer home and make sure no pipes burst. Camper trailers have been de-winterized and the campground is filling up. (For those of you in the United States, guess you’ll have to wait a week!)
Sadly, extended drought and minimal snow means there’s a fire ban in most of the province, including our favourite lake, but I guess we’ll tolerate using the barbecue until everything gets a good soak. And good news: Dad’s old Coleman camp stove that hasn’t fired since 1974 still works!
