This story has been in my head for decades and was finally put into words in November of 2018 as my first-ever NaNoWriMo project. In the seven years since, it has gone through ten full revisions plus many edits based on feedback from critique partners and editors. It went from just over 50,000 words in 2018; to 76,000 words in April of 2022; to 67,000 words in November of 2022; up to nearly 95,000 words in 2025. I’m thrilled to finally share it!
